The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shavershian throws a series of strikes that have Sanchez backpedaling.
That kick from Shavershian tenderised Sanchez's leg. Sanchez is trying to keep his angry face on.
Shavershian throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Shavershian plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Sanchez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Shavershian counters with a left and a right that stings Sanchez.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Shavershian tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shavershian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shavershian tries a quick counter leg kick but Sanchez is wise to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Santiago Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shavershian cracks Sanchez with a right hand to the side of the head.
Shavershian lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Shavershian counters with a huge head kick that drops Sanchez! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
