Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adryan Preuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Rigano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adryan Preuss had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rigano with a jab.

Preuss pushes Rigano up against the ropes in a clinch.
Rigano looking to throw knees to the head but Preuss is blocking nicely.

Rigano gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Rigano is pressing down on Preuss's thigh, looking to free his foot. Preuss is holding on for now.
Preuss throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Rigano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Preuss might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Preuss is refusing to be controlled, as Rigano sits in half guard.
Preuss trying to control but Rigano postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rigano is nestled in close to Preuss, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Preuss wants to control but Rigano is keeping busy.
Rigano passes to full mount!
Rigano lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The referee warns Preuss that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rigano postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Preuss looks a forlorn figure.
Preuss working to try and regain half guard.
Rigano is landing with some decent strikes but Preuss is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rigano wants to control the pace but Preuss is squirming around nicely.

Rigano avoids the attempt from Preuss to control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rigano can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Preuss is looking to escape.

Rigano has control of Preuss's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Preuss regains control of the situation pretty easily.
