Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yin Tao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Cottero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Philip Bailey - Walking on the Chinese Wall. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Cottero.
Tao has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Cottero throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Tao scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Cottero lands with a hook. Tao tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The fighters circle momentarily. Tao darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Cottero lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tao at a distance.

Cottero throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tao throws a wild body kick that Cottero sees coming a mile off.
Cottero now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Cottero moves forwards but Tao connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Cottero scores with a push kick.
Tao feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cotteros jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Tao has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tao there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cottero lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tao's sensitive parts.
Tao lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cottero moves out of range of the body kick.

A nice inside leg kick there by Tao. That's going to slow Cottero down.
Cottero feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tao's calf.

Cottero is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tao.

Cottero shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tao as he jumps to the side.

Tommy Cottero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cottero throws an overhand right that lands on Tao's shoulder, as Tao tries to avoid the shot.
A punch lands to the side of Cottero 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cottero digs a good body shot into Tao's ribs.
Yin Tao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tao misses with a body kick.
Tao will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Tao throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cottero replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Tao blocks it well.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cottero.
Tao throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cottero swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Cottero swings for the body but Tao moves out of range.
Tao takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Tao throws out a leg kick but Cottero moves out of range and Tao only half commits.

Cottero is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tao had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Tao throws a low kick but Cottero moves out of range easily.
Cottero looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Tao on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Cottero thuds his right hand into Tao's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Tao is rocked!
Cottero fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Tao square on the jaw! Damn, Tao is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
