PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Lobo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Schlemper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lobo's entrance music is Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Schlemper's choice of entrance music: Cabrobo. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Antonio Lobo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabricio Schlemper!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobo tries a head kick but it misses.
Crunch! Lobo slams his shin into Schlemper's torso.
Schlemper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lobo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lobo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Schlemper misses with a double jab
and Lobo counters with an inside leg kick.
Lobo defending well as Schlemper loads up on a big left hand.
Schlemper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lobo swivels and escapes.
Lobo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schlemper.
Antonio Lobo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabricio Schlemper.
Schlemper swings widly with a right hand
and Lobo counters with a low kick, right behind Schlemper 's knee.
Lobo throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lobo, right into the meat.
Schlemper chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lobo can pounce on him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Schlemper tries for a kimura but Lobo is defending well.
Lobo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lobo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Schlemper wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lobo is trying to control Schlemper's posture but Schlemper avoids it.
Schlemper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lobo keeps working.
Lobo manages to get back to half guard.
Lobo is staying active underneath Schlemper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lobo tries to get to full guard but Schlemper has control of the leg.
Schlemper is keen to just control but Lobo is a slippery customer.
Schlemper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lobo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lobo.
Schlemper trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Lobo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lobo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Schlemper's guard.

Schlemper can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lobo controls the pace.

Lobo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lobo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lobo stands and throws Schlemper's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Lobo in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Schlemper is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

After winning the bout, Antonio Lobo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
