Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sans Pression - Numero 1 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, George Palmer!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Palmer tries to keep at a distance but Gracie has taken the fight into the clinch.

Palmer gets through Gracie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gracie.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie is trying to trip Palmer. He has hold of a leg but Palmer is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Gracie persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Palmer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Palmer manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Palmer's guard.

Palmer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gracie seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palmer controls the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Palmer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Palmer has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Palmer defends it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Gracie will probably get the nod.

Palmer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.
