Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ravi Shankoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shankoli's entrance music is Ravi Shankar - Om Shiva. A fine choice. Diaz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Queen - We are the champions (mariachillout). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz staying out of range there.
Shankoli looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Diaz throws a leg kick that misses.
Shankoli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shankoli circles away quickly and effectively.

Shankoli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shankoli stalks Diaz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Diaz's face. Diaz staggers backwards, shaken.

Shankoli has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shankoli there as he acknowledges the shot.

Shankoli closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Carlos Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shankoli misses with a few strikes there.
Shankoli throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease.

Diaz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Shankoli has taken the fight to the clinch.
Diaz digs a right hand underneath Shankoli's ribcage. Shankoli let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Shankoli tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Shankoli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Diaz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
