Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abramson moves into the clinch.

Abramson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Abramson manages to end up in side control.
Abramson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Abramson cracks Fairweather with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Abramson decides to stand back up.
Abramson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Abramson counters with a single leg into guard. Fairweather didn't expect that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abramson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fairweather with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Abramson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fairweather has managed to free his arm - good work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Abramson connects with a nice short shot to Fairweather's temple.

Abramson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fairweather is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Abramson, into his guard.
