The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Holmes or perhaps it was just good defense by Ysengrin, which made it look bad.
Ysengrin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Holmes on the side of the head.

It looks like Hank Holmes has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Holmes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ysengrin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Holmes fails with the takedown.

Ysengrin drops Holmes with a beautiful combination! Holmes stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ysengrin is looking for the KO!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Holmes moves into range and clinches up with Ysengrin.
Holmes jumps guard but Ysengrin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Dave Ysengrin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Holmes.

Holmes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ysengrin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Holmes controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Holmes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ysengrin keeps working.

Holmes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ysengrin is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Holmes yanks on the arm and Ysengrin is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Holmes.

During a confident post fight interview, Hank Holmes thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
