Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Perez Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Perez Jr!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snow gets a takedown into half guard.
Perez Jr trying to control from the bottom.
Snow prevents Perez Jr from improving his position.
Perez Jr is staying active underneath Snow, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Snow not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perez Jr keeping control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snow stops Perez Jr from getting back to his feet.

Snow slows the pace down in half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Perez Jr counters with a left and a right that stings Snow.

Perez Jr is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Snow pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Snow is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Snow jumps into guard, dragging Perez Jr to the mat.

Snow keeping moving, preventing Perez Jr from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perez Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow wants to stand up but Perez Jr is controlling him.
Perez Jr wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.
Snow is adopting a defensive guard.

Perez Jr lands a couple of elbows.
Perez Jr postures up in Snow's guard and throws a big left but Snow blocks it.
Perez Jr looking to pass the guard.
Snow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Perez Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Snow sprawls well. He's pushed Perez Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Perez Jr.

Perez Jr forces Snow back against the cage and clinches.
Snow is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Snow is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Perez Jr to keep the fight standing.

Snow is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Snow manages to break the clinch.

Perez Jr gets a takedown into half guard.
Snow is trying to stand back up but Perez Jr is controlling him
Perez Jr is thwarting Snow's attempts to control the position.
Snow tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Perez Jr wants to take a breather but Snow is having none of it.
Perez Jr is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Juan Perez Jr will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Perez Jr closes the distance and clinches.
Snow tries to pull guard but Perez Jr forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Perez Jr breaks from the clinch.

Snow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Perez Jr is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Perez Jr drops down looking for an ankle pick but Snow pulls his leg out and moves away.
Snow lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jon Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Snow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Snow. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Perez Jr has managed to clinch.

Jon Snow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Snow has Perez Jr up against the cage in a clinch.

Snow tries to pull guard but Perez Jr won't allow it.
Perez Jr is pressed up against the cage. Snow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Perez Jr down to the mat. Perez Jr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Perez Jr tries to roll over but Snow keeps him under control.
Snow wants to pass the guard but Perez Jr is defending well.
Perez Jr wants to control but Snow is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Snow lands a body shot.
Snow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Juan Perez Jr will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Snow swats away the attempt to clinch by Perez Jr.
Snow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Snow closes the distance and clinches up with Perez Jr, looking for a takedown. Snow pushes Perez Jr against the cage but Perez Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Perez Jr is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Snow is trying to force a seperation but Perez Jr has the dominant position.

Perez Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Snow tries to clinch there but Perez Jr circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perez Jr moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Snow misses the target.
Juan Perez Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Perez Jr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Perez Jr has managed to clinch.
Perez Jr trying to stall but Snow improves his position.

Perez Jr has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Snow is trying to keep an underhook but Perez Jr manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Snow is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Perez Jr pulls his head out easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Perez Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Perez Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Perez Jr trying to move into half guard but instead Snow has managed to sweep!

Perez Jr wants to sweep but no luck.
Snow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perez Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Snow wants to control from the top but Perez Jr keeps moving.
Perez Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Snow passes into half guard.
Perez Jr keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Snow wants to pass to mount but Perez Jr is defending the position.
Snow content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Snow wants to control but Perez Jr is keeping him busy.
Perez Jr is controlling Snow's trapped leg to prevent Snow from advancing to side control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Perez Jr moves into the clinch.

Snow is fighting off a takedown attempt but Perez Jr is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Snow to the mat. Snow regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Snow wants to sweep here but Perez Jr controlling him for the moment.

Juan Perez Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Perez Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
