Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Loosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathaniel Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loosa doesn't manage to clinch there - Armstrong circles away.
Armstrong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Loosa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Loosa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at aLion's MMA in the buildup to the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Armstrong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Loosa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Armstrong has Loosa in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Loosa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Armstrong doesn't seem bothered though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Loosa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Armstrong drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Loosa dives on top into guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Armstrong is looking for a triangle here but Loosa uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Loosa remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Loosa was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Victor Loosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathaniel Armstrong.

Well Loosa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
