The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saibot throws a hook but Hatake avoids it easily.
Saibot rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hatake counters with a nice kick to the body.
Hatake gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hatake lands a head shot.
Saibot feints and then cracks Hatake's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hatake down.
Nice uppercut there from Saibot.
Hatake throws a right hand that misses
and Saibot counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Saibot dodges the punch combination from Hatake.
A little jabbing left from Saibot on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Saibot drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hatake pushes Saibot off and gets back to his feet.

Hatake avoids the body shot from Saibot.
Hatake changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Hatake misses with a head kick.
Hatake lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saibot circles away quickly and effectively.
Hatake lands a head kick!
Hatake slips under a jab.
Saibot looks to score with a jab to the body but Hatake is just out of range.
Saibot connects with a nice looking jab.

Hatake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hatake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hatake is pushing down on Saibot's leg trying to pass to half guard. Saibot is fighting to maintain full guard but Hatake has managed to sneak the leg through.

Saibot is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Saibot wants to control but Hatake is keeping busy.

Hatake postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Saibot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hatake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Saibot is tightening it up a little... Hatake has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hatake reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hatake taps out! Nice BJJ there by Saibot!
