Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Santiago Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Franek Kimono!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in but Kimono avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kimono throws out a loose jab but Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kimono swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez.
Kimono throws a right and a left that Sanchez avoids nicely.
No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt.
Sanchez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kimono misses with a body kick.
No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt.
Kimono wants to counter with a clinch but Sanchez pushes him away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Santiago Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Kimono. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt.
A nice side step and Kimono releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Kimono, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Kimono against the cage but Kimono circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kimono stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.

Kimono swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez.
Kimono throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sanchez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Sanchez gets caught napping as Kimono dives in and scores a takedown. Sanchez manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kimono wants to get up but he can't break Sanchez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sanchez can't keep his opponent in guard - Kimono advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sanchez is looking to control Kimono's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sanchez avoid being mounted?

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kimono throws a leg kick but Sanchez checks it.
Sanchez has his takedown stuffed

and Kimono moves into the clinch.
Kimono effectively controlling the action here.

Kimono jumps guard and drags Sanchez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kimono is trying to control the position but Sanchez postures up.

Sanchez wanted to stand there but Kimono had control of the position.
Kimono wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sanchez manages to pass to side control.
Kimono is looking to control Sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kimono avoid being mounted?
Kimono gets back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kimono has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sanchez doesn't defend quickly enough and Kimono has managed to lock this one up! Can Sanchez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kimono on a fantastic submission victory.
