Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fugees - Ready or not kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Davidson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris White!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White ducks under a wild hook from Davidson.
White's coach down at Montreal Elite Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on White's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
White moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Good work by Davidson as he checks the leg kick.
Davidson is looking to counter punch.
Davidson misses with a double jab.
White throws a left and a right that both miss
and Davidson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Chris White has been cut.

and Davidson counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends White down! Davidson is looking to finish but White is intelligently defending himself.


White is rocked!

Davidson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Davidson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
White is still in real trouble! Can Davidson finish him?
White is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Davidson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Davidson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but White sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Davidson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but White is avoiding damage well.
Davidson looks up at the clock and then as White takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Davidson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Chris White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a right and a left that Davidson avoids nicely.
Davidson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davidson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
White is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
