Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Travis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Biggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Biggins!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Biggins gets a double leg takedown into Travis's guard.

Travis has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Biggins is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Biggins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Travis regains guard immediately.

Travis is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Travis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Travis has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Biggins regains guard immediately.

Travis drops back looking for a leg! Biggins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Biggins manages to kick Travis off! Travis jumps back into Biggins's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Travis cracks Biggins with a solid left hand.
Travis is in close to Biggins's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Travis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Travis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Travis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Biggins, up you get!

Brian Biggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Biggins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Travis kicks off Biggins and gets to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Biggins feints and as Travis raises his hands in defense, Biggins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Travis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Biggins is working an open guard so Travis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Travis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Travis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Biggins's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Travis stands up and waves to Biggins to follow him.
Biggins tries to clinch but Travis is having none of it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Biggins lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Travis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Travis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Biggins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Travis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

David Travis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Biggins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Travis manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Biggins keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Travis wants a takedown but no success here.

Biggins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Travis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Biggins can do to turn this around?
Biggins is looking to stand up but Travis isn't so interested in that idea.
Travis is working Biggins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Travis drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Travis as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Biggins screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Travis! Nice submission victory there!
