Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto has chosen Holding Out For A Hero (Japanese Version) as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Christopher Binse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 52 - 26 - 4, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keiji Hashimoto!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hashimoto misses with a looping right.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hashimoto.
Binse throwing a counter right hand but Hashimoto manages to avoid it.
Binse keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hashimoto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hashimoto tries to land a leg kick but Binse saw it coming and moves away.
Hashimoto lands a head shot.
Hashimoto takes a swing at Binse's ribcage but misses.
Binse is looking to counter punch.
Binse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hashimoto moves away.
Binse lands with a nice body punch.
Hashimoto needs to keep his hands up - Binse had a free shot at his head there.

Binse has Hashimoto up against the cage in a clinch.
Hashimoto tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Binse tries to throw a body punch but Hashimoto avoids it by throwing Binse back against the cage.
Hashimoto tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Binse avoids it.
Hashimoto lands a right hand that snaps the head of Binse backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Binse misses with a body punch.
Hashimoto blocks an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Binse goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Binse throws a punch but it's blocked by Hashimoto.

Binse has Hashimoto pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Binse pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hashimoto tumbling to the mat - Binse dives into Hashimoto's guard.
Binse postures up in Hashimoto's guard and throws a big left but Hashimoto blocks it.

Hashimoto is looking for a triangle but Binse pushes his legs off easily.
Binse connects with a couple of short punches.

Hashimoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Binse defends well.
Binse wants to control from the top but Hashimoto keeps moving.

Hashimoto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Binse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Binse stays in close to Hashimoto's body and controls the position.
Binse trying to control the position from guard on top but Hashimoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hashimoto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Binse is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Binse distracts Hashimoto with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hashimoto has his foot on Binse's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Binse works his way back into a safe position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Binse working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hashimoto looking to control.
Binse stands up over Hashimoto, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Binse with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Binse postures up.
Binse loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Hashimoto has his feet on Binse's thighs here. He's pushed Binse off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Binse screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Keiji Hashimoto!
Post fight, Keiji Hashimoto stared into the camera and said 'The time has come for me to retire.My body can no longer fight the fights I wish to. Thank you all. Domo arigato!'.
