The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood scores with a decent looking hook.
Puro throws a front kick aimed at Wood's knee but Wood avoids it well.
Wood lands with a slapping head kick.
Wood throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Puro throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Wood counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Wood lands an elbow just above Puro 's eye.
Wood looking to throw knees to the head but Puro is blocking nicely.
Puro tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Wood lands a nice knee to the body.
Wood with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wood drops Puro with a big knee straight up the middle! Puro is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Puro is rocked!

It looks like Murska Puro has been cut.
Wood cracks Puro with a left hook right on the temple and Puro goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Wood lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Puro is OK!

Thor Wood was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
