The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lom throws a sloppy head kick and Dixon moves out of range easily.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lom has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lom and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

And Lom counters with a quick kick to the body but Dixon blocks it.

It looks like Vince Dixon has been cut.
Lom looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Dixon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lom's guard.

Lom has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Dixon is on him like a limpet, forcing Lom back against the cage.
