Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Tickel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Benjamin Bengazzoni!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tickel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Bengazzoni to counter with a crisp jab.
Tickel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bengazzoni.
Bengazzoni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tickel was well out of range. Poor timing from Bengazzoni.
Tickel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bengazzoni takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tickel.

Bengazzoni has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tickel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bengazzoni.

Tickel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tickel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Tickel jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bengazzoni is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bengazzoni and Tickel has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The crowd cheers as Bengazzoni lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tickel doesn't seem phased though.
Tickel shoots in looking for a takedown. Bengazzoni tries to sprawl out of it but Tickel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bengazzoni manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tickel throws a series of punches but Bengazzoni avoids them all with ease.
