PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlinhos Valente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlinhos Valente!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Xavier throws a hook but Valente avoids it easily.
Xavier throws a combination that misses
and Valente counters with a leg kick.
Valente catches Xavier with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Valente fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Xavier throws the left hand but Valente avoids the punch easily.
Xavier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Valente.
Valente tries to counter by closing the distance.
Valente lands a nice looking body shot.
Decent striking displayed by Valente there.
Xavier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Valente to score with a decent uppercut.
Valente throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Xavier just misses with a punch to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Valente! But no joy.
Valente chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Xavier can pounce on him.
Xavier gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Valente gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Xavier is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlinhos Valente!
Carlinhos Valente bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
