Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lineker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons comes to the cage accompanied by Dog Wild Heaven. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Lineker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lineker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simmons moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lineker misses the shot to the body.
Simmons gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lineker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Simmons displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lineker throws out the jab.
Lineker looks to score with a jab to the body but Simmons is just out of range.
Lineker lands a lovely overhand right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Simmons is defended easily by Lineker.

Simmons shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lineker but Lineker pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Simmons counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lineker won't be happy with that.

Simmons is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lineker looks calm but he's in trouble here. Simmons gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lineker is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Simmons lets go of the hold and Lineker can pop his arm back in it's socket.
