Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Octavius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Gaius Octavius !
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Coleman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Octavius sprawls well initially but Coleman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Octavius is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Coleman scores with a couple of nice shots.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coleman lands a nice short elbow.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Octavius is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Coleman pulls his head out easily.

Coleman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Octavius told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Octavius has hold of Coleman's hands but Coleman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Octavius is trying to escape the position but Coleman is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Coleman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Octavius is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Coleman lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Octavius is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Coleman is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Octavius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Coleman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coleman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Coleman slips a nice elbow through Octavius 's hands, connecting with Octavius 's forehead.
Coleman scores with a big shot! Octavius 's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Octavius ! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
