PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Yves Cachemaille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reidar Vedhult (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jean Yves Cachemaille has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jean Yves Cachemaille seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reidar Vedhult!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vedhult has his takedown stuffed
letting Cachemaille counter with a right hand.
Cachemaille leaves Vedhult with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Vedhult closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cachemaille's guard.

Vedhult shoots for a takedown but Cachemaille saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Cachemaille misses its target.

Cachemaille drops Vedhult with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Vedhult looks back up at him and smiles so Cachemaille waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cachemaille content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Vedhult wants to improve his position but Cachemaille is controlling well.

Cachemaille stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Cachemaille throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cachemaille, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
