Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nero Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gianpaolo Volpicelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Padilla comes to the cage accompanied by Dead by Dawn by Deicide. Gianpaolo Volpicelli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volpicelli cracks the inside of Padilla's front leg.
Padilla throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Volpicelli throws a nice outside leg kick.
Volpicelli lands with a hook. Padilla tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Padilla gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Padilla throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Padilla fails in his attempt to clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Padilla checks a leg kick.
Padilla lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Volpicelli darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

A frustrated look appears on Volpicelli's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Padilla lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Padilla throws a punch but it's blocked by Volpicelli.

Volpicelli is trying to force a seperation but Padilla has the dominant position.

Volpicelli escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Padilla ducks under a wild hook from Volpicelli.
Volpicelli throws a leg kick that misses.
Volpicelli moves out of range as Padilla throws a body kick.
Volpicelli looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Padilla keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Padilla lands with a slapping head kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Padilla lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Volpicelli has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Volpicelli and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A punch lands to the side of Padilla 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Padilla gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Volpicelli moves out of range as Padilla throws a body kick.
Volpicelli with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Padilla to score with a decent uppercut.
Padilla misses with a hook. Volpicelli ducked under it nicely.
A lazy left from Volpicelli finds it's target.
Volpicelli blocks a head kick by Padilla.
Volpicelli tries to score with a low kick but Padilla moves his leg out of the way.
Padilla lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Padilla is looking to score with low kicks.
Volpicelli feints and then cracks Padilla's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Padilla down.
Volpicelli tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Padilla is able to avoid easily.
Volpicelli fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Padilla.
Padilla tries a head kick but it misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Volpicelli! But no joy.

Padilla lands a big head kick that sends Volpicelli tumbling to the mat! Padilla takes a step backwards and waves Volpicelli back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Volpicelli is rocked!

It looks like Gianpaolo Volpicelli has been cut.
A head kick by Padilla - that's a beauty! Volpicelli is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Padilla can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
