Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Cristiano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons comes to the cage accompanied by Dog Wild Heaven. Ronaldo Cristiano is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Cristiano!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cristiano throws a lazy head kick

so Simmons counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've been hearing that Simmons has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Simmons won't allow Cristiano to sweep him here.
Simmons trying to control but Cristiano is working from the bottom.
Simmons throws a big elbow that misses.
Simmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Cristiano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Simmons works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Simmons seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Simmons's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simmons thows a huge punch but Cristiano dodges it nicely.

Simmons is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Simmons is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cristiano!

Cristiano is desperately trying to improve his position but Simmons has a good base and remains in mount.

Simmons is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cristiano has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cristiano!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Simmons has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cristiano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Simmons is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cristiano is aware though and is defending well.

Cristiano has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Simmons to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Cristiano is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Simmons pulls down on the head and he's put Cristiano to sleep! This one is all over!
