The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLaren checks a leg kick.
McLaren shoots in but no luck this time.
McLaren gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson wants to land a leg kick but McLaren is out of range.
McLaren looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well.
McLaren slips under a jab.
Jackson takes a swing at McLaren's ribcage but misses.
And McLaren tries to counter it with a takedown but Jackson pushes his down on his head and steps out.

McLaren is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McLaren has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McLaren turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McLaren manages to end up in side control.
