Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mats Lindgraf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaromir Jag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaromir Jag has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mats Lindgraf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 57 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaromir Jag!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jag tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lindgraf shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jag pinned against the cage. Jag gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jag is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Lindgraf darts in looking for a takedown but Jag gets double underhooks and turns Lindgraf into the cage.
Lindgraf shoots in and drives through. Jag sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mats Lindgraf. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lindgraf misses with a kick to the body.
Jag tries to close the distance and clinch but Lindgraf swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lindgraf is trying to drag Jag to the mat but Jag just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Lindgraf has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jag is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

and Lindgraf moves into the clinch.
Lindgraf drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jag pulls his leg out and moves away.

Lindgraf swats away the attempt to clinch by Jag.
Nice takedown defense from Jag. No joy for Lindgraf on that attempt.
Jag tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lindgraf paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lindgraf appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Jag doesn't manage to clinch there - Lindgraf circles away.
Lindgraf tries to counter by clinching up but Jag breaks away and moves out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lindgraf.
Jag is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lindgraf asserts his dominance and retains side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jag is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lindgraf has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Mats Lindgraf will probably get the nod.

and Jag takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jag drives through and clinches with Lindgraf against the cage.
Jag with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Lindgraf jumps guard and drags Jag to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lindgraf will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jag decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lindgraf, up you get!

Lindgraf has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jag clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Jag is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lindgraf gets his way!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jag wants to get back to his feet.
Jag felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Lindgraf is persistently looking for the submission but Jag is defending it well.

This has been an exciting period of action!
What can Jag do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mats Lindgraf.
I think Lindgraf has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
