Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Norvell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toktogulovich Bakiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toktogulovich Bakiyev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Brad Norvell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toktogulovich Bakiyev!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norvell throws a body shot but no joy.
Bakiyev misses with a wild body shot.
Norvell misses with a hook. Bakiyev ducked under it nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Norvell. Those never looked like landing.
Norvell connects with a jab.
Bakiyev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Norvell misses with a hook
and Bakiyev counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Bakiyev jabs Norvell right on the nose. Norvell blinks but takes it well.
Brad Norvell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Norvell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bakiyev.
Bakiyev dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bakiyev throws a body punch but Norvell moves out of range.

Norvell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bakiyev pushes Norvell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Norvell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Norvell looks up at the clock and then as Bakiyev takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Norvell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Norvell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Bakiyev's legs.
Bakiyev is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Norvell asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bakiyev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Norvell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Norvell prevents Bakiyev from escaping the position.
Norvell trying to control the position but Bakiyev is working away.
Norvell tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Bakiyev is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Norvell asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Norvell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bakiyev keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Norvell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bakiyev circles away quickly and effectively.
Norvell throws a series of punches but Bakiyev avoids them all with ease.
The crowd cheers as Norvell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bakiyev doesn't seem phased though.
Bakiyev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Norvell manages to avoid it.

Norvell attempts a counter takedown but Bakiyev avoids it well and moves away.

Norvell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bakiyev lands a nice hook to Norvell's body. Norvell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Norvell drops his hands momentarily and Bakiyev takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Norvell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bakiyev is fending him off so far but Norvell persists. Nope, Bakiyev circles away and we're back to standing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norvell tries for a takedown but Bakiyev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Norvell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bakiyev connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bakiyev connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Norvell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bakiyev but Bakiyev pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Norvell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bakiyev cracks a nice hook into Norvell's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Brad Norvell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bakiyev! But no joy.

Bakiyev let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Bakiyev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bakiyev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Norvell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Norvell tries to bum rush Bakiyev with a series of wild strikes but Bakiyev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Norvell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Norvell closes the distance and clinches up with Bakiyev, looking for a takedown. Norvell pushes Bakiyev against the cage but Bakiyev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bakiyev slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bakiyev fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Norvell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Norvell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Toktogulovich Bakiyev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Norvell looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Bakiyev walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Norvell drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Bakiyev swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Norvell's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toktogulovich Bakiyev!
Toktogulovich Bakiyev seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
