Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs scores with a shot to the body.
Briggs shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gloom eats them both and turns towards Briggs to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Gloom feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Briggs's calf.
Gloom lands a head kick!
It looks like Jax Briggs has been cut.
Gloom uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Briggs.
Gloom is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Briggs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Some bone on bone action there as Gloom checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Briggs has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Briggs drops Gloom with a right and a left! Briggs comes rushing in but Gloom regains his composure and manages to keep Briggs in guard.
It looks like Guido Gloom has been cut.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Briggs controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gloom is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Briggs is aware though and is defending well.

Gloom is looking to sweep but instead, Briggs has passed into half guard.

Gloom has momentary wrist control but Briggs slips an elbow through the middle.
Briggs loads up on a big left hand. Gloom felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Briggs looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Gloom can't hide his disappointment, as Briggs celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jax Briggs!
