Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Trane!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Padilla wants to clinch
and Trane makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Padilla throws a head kick that misses.
Trane misses with a looping left.

Trane blocks the body kick.
Padilla throws a lazy head kick
and Trane makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Padilla moves into the clinch successfully.

Trane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Padilla cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Padilla punishes Trane's body with a nice straight punch.
Trane thows a left - swing and a miss!

Trane looks to land a right hand but Padilla moved out of range.

Padilla gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Padilla tries to pull guard but Trane won't allow it.
Padilla tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Padilla jumps guard but Trane stands there with Padilla around his waist. Padilla gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Padilla tries a body shot but Trane blocks it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Padilla looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Trane throws out a counter right but Padilla avoids it with no problem.

Trane throws the left hand but Padilla avoids the punch easily.
Padilla is looking to counter with head kicks.
Padilla fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Trane has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Padilla throws a push kick but Trane slaps the foot to one side.
Trane looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Padilla fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trane avoids the head kick by Padilla.
Trane blocks a head kick by Padilla.
A countering left hand to the body from Trane misses.
Trane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Padilla throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Padilla connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Trane slips a jab and a cross from Padilla.
Despite the aggression on Trane's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Padilla tries to clinch up but Trane circles away and keeps his distance.
Trane feints and then cracks Padilla's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Padilla down.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Padilla fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Trane.
Trane lands with a right that hurts Padilla. Padilla looks to clinch but Trane throws a short knee that drops Padilla. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). John Trane!
