These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panteleev connects with a single shot there.
Smith takes one on the button.
A looping hook to the body misses from Panteleev. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith shoots in for a double leg but Panteleev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Panteleev throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head.

Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Panteleev was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Frank Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Panteleev lands a head shot.
Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Panteleev.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh!!! Panteleev has knocked Smith down with a huge combo! Panteleev steps away and waves a wobbly Smith back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
