The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Turpin misses.
Turpin misses with an uppercut. Borschev saw that one coming.
Borschev misses with a body kick.
Turpin works Borschev's body with a nice hook.
The crowd cheers as Turpin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Borschev doesn't seem phased though.
Turpin throws the kick towards the body but Borschev avoids it.
Turpin getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Turpin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Borschev misses with a body shot.
Turpin is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Borschev with a body shot.
Turpin throws a right hand that Borschev ducks under and follows up with a left that Borschev also avoids with ease.
Turpin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Randolph Turpin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turpin lands the left hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Borschev looks for the body kick but Turpin saw that one coming.
Turpin now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Borschev throws a chopping leg kick but Turpin manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Borschev takes a jab right on the kisser.
Borschev misses with a low kick as Turpin jumps back.
Turpin appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Borschev misses with a body kick.
It seemed like Turpin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Borschev lands with a nice combination. Turpin backs away looking to recover.

Borschev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Borschev has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym Beam in the buildup to the fight.
Borschev is looking to chop away at Turpin's legs.
Turpin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Turpin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Dmitry Borschev has been cut.
Turpin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Borschev sprawling to the canvas! Borschev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Turpin finish him?!
Borschev is rocked!
Turpin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Borschev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turpin connects with a body shot that sends Borschev's belly button to the back.
Borschev is breathing heavily.
Turpin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Turpin fakes the body blow, causing Borschev to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Borschev goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randolph Turpin!
A pretty intense looking Randolph Turpin took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
