Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Santiago Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arnold takes the fight into the clinch.

Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sanchez drives through and clinches with Arnold against the cage.
Arnold is trying to force a seperation but Sanchez has the dominant position.
Sanchez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Arnold after a bit of a struggle.
Sanchez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Arnold moves forwards but Sanchez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sanchez has eaten all the pies!
Arnold displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sanchez.
Arnold misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Arnold looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Santiago Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arnold keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Sanchez counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Arnold, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Arnold against the cage but Arnold circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Arnold seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Arnold fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanchez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Arnold's head backwards.
Sanchez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Arnold circles away.
Sanchez dives in and grabs Arnold's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arnold pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.
Arnold tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.

Sanchez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Arnold just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sanchez is looking for a takedown.
Sanchez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Sanchez keeps control of Arnold as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Arnold breaks the clinch.

Arnold darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the cage.

Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Arnold shows good takedown defense.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Arnold looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sanchez raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt - Arnold sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Sanchez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Arnold clinches up with Sanchez and pushes him back against the cage.
Sanchez has Arnold pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Arnold manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Arnold is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Arnold pushes off an throws an elbow but Sanchez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

A slow jab from Sanchez misses its intended target.
Arnold swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Arnold tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sanchez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Arnold tries to clinch but Sanchez is having none of it.
Sanchez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Arnold wants to clinch.
Arnold throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Arnold backs off Sanchez throws a huge counter combo but Arnold manages to avoid it all.
Sanchez shoots in but Arnold avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Arnold shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Arnold showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Arnold seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harris Arnold will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Arnold pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sanchez unleashes a big counter combination but Arnold bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sanchez is defended easily by Arnold.
Arnold appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Arnold is looking to clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sanchez enables Arnold to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sanchez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Arnold wants to stand but Sanchez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Arnold wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.

Arnold will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Arnold keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sanchez's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez moves into the clinch successfully.
Arnold manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Arnold's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Sanchez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arnold gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Harris Arnold is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sanchez fails with the takedown.
Harris Arnold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Sanchez.

Santiago Sanchez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Harris Arnold is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Arnold fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Harris Arnold showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Arnold, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
