Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Tinkl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dark Terror!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinkl fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Terror.
Tinkl blocks a head kick by Terror.
Terror lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Billy Tinkl has been cut.
Terror cracks Tinkl with a good jab.
Tinkl shoots in but Terror avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Terror will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Terror throws a head kick that misses

and Tinkl counters with a single leg into guard. Terror didn't expect that.
Tinkl trying to control but Terror is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Terror really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tinkl. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tinkl throwing strikes but missing.
Tinkl trying to control the position from guard on top but Terror is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Terror can do anything to dispel that myth.

Tinkl drops back looking for a leg! Terror is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Terror manages to kick Tinkl off! Tinkl jumps back into Terror's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Terror utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Terror throws a right and a left that Tinkl avoids nicely.

Terror looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Terror slips nicely into half guard.
Tinkl punching from the bottom.
Terror wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tinkl keeps working.
Tinkl wants to improve his position but Terror is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tinkl wants to control but Terror is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tinkl looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Tinkl is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Tinkl manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Terror stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tinkl swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Terror got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tinkl has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Terror has managed to get both his arms back between Tinkl's legs - danger averted.
Terror is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Tinkl has his foot on Terror's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Terror works his way back into a safe position though.
Tinkl tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tinkl wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Terror is now in half guard.
Terror is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Tinkl has hold of Terror's hands but Terror slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Tinkl is pressing down on Terror's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Terror connects with a couple of short punches.

Tinkl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Terror doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tinkl is tightening it up a little... Terror has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Terror reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Terror taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tinkl!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Billy Tinkl!
