Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anders Annorlunda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins comes into the arena with Mary Jane blaring out of the sound system. Thurgood Jenkins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Annorlunda throws a head kick but Jenkins moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Jenkins there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jenkins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Despite the aggression on Annorlunda's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Jenkins clinches with his opponent.

Jenkins wants the takedown. Annorlunda is fighting it off but Jenkins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Annorlunda's guard against the cage.
Jenkins with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jenkins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Annorlunda's head.
Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Annorlunda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Annorlunda wants to stand but Jenkins is controlling the position.

Annorlunda is working an open guard so Jenkins takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Jenkins stands and throws Annorlunda's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Jenkins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Annorlunda, who protects the arm well.
Jenkins has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Annorlunda!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Annorlunda tries to reverse the position but Jenkins maintains control.

Jenkins takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Annorlunda is in a horrible position here. Jenkins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Annorlunda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
