Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hulk Smash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bardo Gregorio!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregorio scores with a sloppy right hand. Smash should have avoided that one.
Smash looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Smash bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gregorio throws out a loose jab but Smash uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gregorio swings for the body but Smash moves out of range.
Gregorio misses the jab.
Smash darts in and clinches Gregorio up against the cage.
Smash jumps into guard, dragging Gregorio to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gregorio is pushing down on Smash's leg trying to pass to half guard. Smash is fighting to maintain full guard but Gregorio has managed to sneak the leg through.
Smash is defending against the submission attempts here by Gregorio.
Gregorio is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gregorio has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Smash defend it? Gregorio steps over the head and cranks it - Smash is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gregorio!
