PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jet Force (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woody Forrest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jet Force!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Woody Forrest!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forrest lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Force connects with a high kick.
Force tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Forrest lands a glancing blow to the side of Force's head.
Forrest circles away from the clinch attempt.
Forrest gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Force.
Forrest throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Forrest throws a lazy right hand but Force sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Forrest sizes up Force with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Force lands a high kick!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Forrest has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Jet Force seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Forrest avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Force throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Force takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Force's jab looks to have found its range, popping Forrest under the eye.
Forrest paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Forrest lands with a good body shot.
Forrest takes a swing at Force's ribcage but misses.
Forrest misses with a body shot.
A head kick misses from Force.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Force throws a push kick but Forrest slaps the foot to one side.
Force avoids the body shot from Forrest.
Forrest tests Force's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Forrest just misses with a punch to the body.
Forrest misses with a body punch
and Force counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Force walks into a straight right hand from Forrest.
Forrest swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Force appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
A head kick from Force lands but Forrest takes it in his stride.
Force definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A chopping leg kick lands by Force.
Force bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Force tries to close the distance and clinch up but Forrest swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Forrest now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A big right from Forrest misses.
Force throws a sloppy head kick and Forrest moves out of range easily.
Forrest thuds a left hand into Force's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Force has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Force there as he acknowledges the shot.
A jab lands there for Forrest.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Forrest connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


Force is rocked!
Force scores with a head kick. Forrest tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Oh Force is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Force ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Force seems to have got his legs back now.
Forrest stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Forrest avoids the head kick by Force.
Forrest throws a shot from downtown. Force moves away and avoids it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Forrest. Force does a little dance to reset his feet.

Force ducks straight into an uppercut from Forrest and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Force manages to regain guard straight away.

Forrest drops back looking for a leg! Force is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Force manages to kick Forrest off! Forrest jumps back into Force's guard.
Forrest is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Forrest drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Forrest jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Forrest drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Forrest as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Force screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Forrest! Nice submission victory there!
