Blackwood comes to the ring accompanied by Catch Your Breath by CFO$. De Boer has chosen PSYCHO as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwood avoids a kick to the body.
De Boer throws a right and a left that both miss.

Erik De Boer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blackwood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but De Boer avoids it really well and circles away.

Blackwood shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
De Boer misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
