Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Potapenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anton Pavlovich!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Potapenko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pavlovich quickly recovers to half guard.
Pavlovich is refusing to be controlled, as Potapenko sits in half guard.
Potapenko stops Pavlovich from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looked like Potapenko wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Anton Pavlovich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Potapenko dives in for a single leg takedown but Pavlovich sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Potapenko went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Pavlovich ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Potapenko moves away.
As Pavlovich looks to move away, Potapenko throws a big counter combo bu Pavlovich just gets out of the way.
Potapenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pavlovich avoids it really well and circles away.
A nice side step and Pavlovich releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Anton Pavlovich will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Potapenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pavlovich's guard.
