Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meida moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Meida throws out a counter right but Munson avoids it with no problem.
Munson misses with a lunging right hand
and Meida cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Munson misses with a wild combination.
Munson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Meida wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Munson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

It looks like Jack Munson has been cut.

Meida is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Munson rather than just go for the knockout.

Meida lunges at Munson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Munson's hand.
Munson moves forwards but Meida connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Meida's jab looks to have found its range, popping Munson under the eye.
Meida bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Munson's head backwards.
Meida is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Meida paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Jack Munson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Munson walks into a jab.
Meida lands a glancing blow to the side of Munson's head.

Jeez, Jack Munson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Meida closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Munson crashing to the mat! Munson uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Munson is rocked!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jack Munson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Thiago Meida decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
