The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Laak.
Farmer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Laak tries for a takedown but Farmer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Phil Laak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Farmer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Laak under the eye.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Laak is defended easily by Farmer.
Laak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Farmer avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Laak. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Farmer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Laak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Farmer circles away.
Laak tries to clinch but Farmer moves out of range.
Farmer scores with a jab to the head.
Laak shoots in for a takedown but Farmer shows good takedown defense.

Farmer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Laak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Farmer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Laaks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Farmer throws an overhand right that drops Laak like a sack of potatoes! Farmer dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
