Vale has chosen Motorhead-Iron Fist as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alistair Spong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Simon Vale's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Vale!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vale looks to land a right hand but Spong moved out of range.
Vale looks to land a combination but Spong avoids it well.
Vale misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spong.
Spong takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Vale scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Spong doesn't seem bothered though.
Spong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spong wants it to stay on the feet.
Vale misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spong was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Vale throws a combination that misses
and Spong counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Vale thinking.
Vale shoots for a double leg takedown but Spong sprawls well. He's pushed Vale's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Spong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vale.
Spong on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Spong lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Spong lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vale shoots in but Spong avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alistair Spong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Vale.
Vale misses with a body punch
and Spong counters with a big head kick but Vale shrugs it off.
Spong cracks Vale with a right hand to the side of the head.
Simon Vale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spong tries to keep at a distance but Vale has taken the fight into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Spong connects with a nasty looking knee right to Vale's face.
Vale swings wildly with an uppercut but Spong uses good head movement to avoid it.

Vale is trying to push Spong away but Spong has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Spong lands with a short shot to the head.

Spong drops Vale with a big knee straight up the middle! Vale is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Simon Vale has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spong lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
