These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul McCracken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Trane!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trane throws a right and a left that McCracken avoids nicely.
McCracken thows a body kick. Trane tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Trane throws a shot from downtown. McCracken moves away and avoids it.
McCracken connects with a solid leg kick.
McCracken throws a sloppy head kick and Trane moves out of range easily.
Trane now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
McCracken throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McCracken gets in close and instigates a clinch.

McCracken pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McCracken pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Trane wants to counter with a clinch but McCracken pushes him away.
Paul McCracken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCracken motions for Trane to come forward. McCracken throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Trane lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
McCracken is looking to slow Trane down with leg kicks.
McCracken is looking to chop away at Trane's legs.

and Trane counters with a straight right hand.

Trane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCracken circles away quickly and effectively.
A looping hook to the body misses from McCracken. Trane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Trane throws out a counter right but McCracken avoids it with no problem.

Trane changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
McCracken looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
McCracken misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Trane.
McCracken throws a hook to the side of Trane's head but Trane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Trane throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McCracken sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from McCracken misses its target.
McCracken throws a wild body kick that Trane sees coming a mile off.

And Trane tries to counter it with a takedown but McCracken pushes his down on his head and steps out.
McCracken bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Trane has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McCracken.
McCracken is looking to clinch but Trane is avoiding it.
Trane appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
McCracken throws a leg kick but Trane sees it coming and moves out of range.

McCracken has closed the distance and engaged Trane in a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trane has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
McCracken struggles to land a body shot inside as Trane controls his hands.

McCracken manages to break the clinch.

Trane scores with a one two! McCracken had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It seemed like Trane was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Trane swings and misses with a hook to the body.

As Trane tries to get set, McCracken tries to push him back and clinch up but Trane manages to avoid the attempt.

McCracken has managed to clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

McCracken escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A little jabbing left from Trane on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

McCracken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McCracken fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Trane.
McCracken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Trane throws a series of punches but McCracken avoids them all with ease.
McCracken misses with a body kick.
Trane lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
McCracken doesn't manage to clinch there - Trane circles away.
Trane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Trane moves out of range of the body kick from McCracken.
Trane steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from McCracken.
Trane jabs McCracken to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCracken looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trane buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McCracken doesn't manage to clinch there - Trane circles away.
McCracken fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McCracken is looking to land body kicks.
McCracken throws a right and a left that Trane avoids nicely.
Trane's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
McCracken throws a body kick, spinning off balance
letting Trane counter with a right hand.
Trane takes a kick to the side of the head.
Trane just misses with a punch to the body.

McCracken has closed the distance and engaged Trane in a clinch.

Trane breaks from the clinch.
A jab from McCracken does it's job there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCracken drops his hands for a split second and Trane immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into McCracken face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Trane follows up with a right hand that knocks McCracken into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Our winner, John Trane, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
