The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Fujiwara lands.
Jaa misses with a wild body shot.

Fujiwara bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jaa's head backwards.
Fujiwara avoids the head kick by Jaa.
Jaa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jaa tries to clinch

and Fujiwara counters with a crisp one two that drops Jaa! Fujiwara thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jaa to his feet! Jaa is in big trouble!

Fujiwara bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jaa's head.
Jaa is looking to clinch.
Fujiwara tries to counter with a clinch but Jaa shakes him off and moves away.
Fujiwara lands a jab to the nose.
Jaa throws a lazy head kick
and Fujiwara counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jaa is breathing heavily.

and Fujiwara counters with a nice uppercut.
Jaa tries to land a body kick
letting Fujiwara counter with a right hand.
Jaa throws a leg kick but Fujiwara checks it.
Fujiwara scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jaa doesn't seem bothered though.
Tony Jaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jaa takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fujiwara works Jaa's body with a nice hook.
Fujiwara lands a lovely overhand right.
Fujiwara is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jaa had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jaa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fujiwara.
The fighters circle momentarily. Fujiwara darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fujiwara connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Fujiwara ducks under a wild hook from Jaa.
Fujiwara throws out a counter right but Jaa avoids it with no problem.

and Fujiwara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jaa misses with a double jab

and Fujiwara counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Fujiwara tries to break free but Jaa pushes him back against the cage.
Fujiwara is trying to force a seperation but Jaa has the dominant position.

Jaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jaa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kaemon Fujiwara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jaa doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fujiwara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jaa takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jaa looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Jaa takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jaa takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jaa misses with a jab to the body
enabling Fujiwara to counter with a crisp jab.
Jaa throws a leg kick that misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fujiwara! But no joy.
Jaa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jaa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fujiwara lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jaa falls backwards - clearly groggy! Fujiwara dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
