Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky McColgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seamus Farrelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McColgan comes to the cage accompanied by The Gael. Farrelly has chosen The man that you FEAR as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farrelly throws a quick inside leg kick.
McColgan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Farrelly.
McColgan scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Seamus Farrelly has been cut.
Farrelly goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
McColgan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McColgan misses with a body kick.
McColgan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Farrelly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Farrelly chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McColgan can pounce on him.
McColgan scores with a hook.
McColgan gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Farrelly counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McColgan thinking.
McColgan lands a body shot.
Rocky McColgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Farrelly misses with a body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McColgan throws the kick towards the body but Farrelly avoids it.
McColgan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from McColgan. Farrelly does a little dance to reset his feet.
McColgan wants to land a leg kick but Farrelly is out of range.
A little jabbing left from Farrelly on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Farrelly on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

enabling Farrelly to counter with a crisp jab.

Farrelly avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

McColgan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Farrelly manages to avoid it.
Farrelly moves out of range of the leg kick from McColgan.
Farrelly takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
McColgan throws a low kick but Farrelly avoids it.
A nice inside leg kick there by McColgan. That's going to slow Farrelly down.
McColgan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
McColgan throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McColgan scores with a hook.
Farrelly tries a low kick but McColgan avoids it.
McColgan cracks Farrelly with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Farrelly tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but McColgan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Farrelly is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rocky McColgan!

Seamus Farrelly was interviewed post fight and said 'Fuck my life is over'.
