Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between TJ Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quiet Monkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Welsh comes to the cage accompanied by Lets Have A War. Monkey has chosen Epic - Faith No More as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey just misses with a punch to the body.
Welsh appears to be looking for a big counter.
Monkey lands a left and a right that send Welsh crashing to the mat, dazed. Monkey thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Welsh is rocked!
It looks like TJ Welsh has been cut.
No joy there for Monkey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Welsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Welsh feints and as Monkey raises his hands in defense, Welsh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Welsh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Welsh is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Montreal Fighter's Gym (4.5* Sparring), so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Monkey wants to free his trapped foot but Welsh is holding on for dear life with his legs.

My spies in Montreal Elite Gym inform me that Monkey has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well Monkey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
