The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aristoteles lands a big head kick that sends Cruz tumbling to the mat! Aristoteles takes a step backwards and waves Cruz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Jefferson Cruz has been cut.
Cruz misses with a double jab.
Aristoteles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cruz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cruz tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Aristoteles manages to circle out of the way.
Aristoteles takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Aristoteles lands with a hook. Cruz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Cruz is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cruz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Aristoteles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Aristoteles engages and cracks Cruz with a massive lead left hook - Cruz tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Aristoteles is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Aristoteles!
