Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Briscow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chikau Sakama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Briscow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chikau Sakama!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briscow slips under a jab.
Briscow is looking to counter the offense by Sakama and move into the clinch.
Sakama misses with a straight right.

Briscow shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sakama is trying to defend but Briscow finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sakama wants to improve his position but Briscow is controlling well.

Briscow is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Briscow tries to pass to full mount but Sakama defends it.
Briscow is breathing heavily.
Sakama is looking for a sweep. Briscow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sakama has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Briscow is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Briscow tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Sakama wants to control but Briscow is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sakama wants to improve his position but Briscow is controlling well.
Sakama works his way to full guard. Good work.

Sakama has his foot on Briscow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Briscow works his way back into a safe position though.
Sakama is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Briscow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sakama has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Briscow has managed to get both his arms back between Sakama's legs - danger averted.

Briscow could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Briscow holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sakama tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

BOOM! Sakama connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sakama is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sakama has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sakama is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sakama wants to stand but Briscow has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Sakama looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Still in half guard, Sakama seems content to control.

Chikau Sakama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Sakama throws a big shot that misses.
Sakama loads up on a big right hand but Briscow slips the punch.

Chikau Sakama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sakama stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Briscow drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sakama sprawls and moves away.
Sakama throws an overhand right that lands on Briscow's shoulder, as Briscow tries to avoid the shot.

Sakama shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Briscow manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Briscow escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sakama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sakama misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakama goes for an armbar but Briscow turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Briscow.

Sakama seems keen to control Briscow's posture.
Sakama lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sakama drops back looking for a leg! Briscow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Briscow manages to kick Sakama off! Sakama jumps back into Briscow's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chikau Sakama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sakama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
