Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Finn Balor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Deurell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balor's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Monster. Deurell has chosen Africa as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balor is looking to score with low kicks.

Deurell dives in and grabs Balor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Balor pushes down on Deurell's head and hops out.
Balor jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Balor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deurell manages to avoid it.

Balor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Deurell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Balor is in Deurell's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Balor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Deurell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Deurell will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Balor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Deurell's guard.
Balor wants to pass the guard but Deurell is defending well.

Balor is keen to just control but Deurell is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Deurell is looking to escape.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Deurell has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Balor.

Well Balor has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
