Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yushin Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes into the arena with Bob Dylan - Hurricane blaring out of the sound system. Okami comes into a darkened arena with his song building. EMF - Unbelieveble kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.
Okami pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Okami looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
Carter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Okami throws a right hand that misses
and Carter counters with a nice uppercut.

and Carter makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Carter lands a nice hook to Okami's body. Okami takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Okami.
Carter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Okami throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carter on the side of the head.

Okami throws a hook but Carter blocks it.
Carter works Okami's body with a nice hook.
Carter looks to land a left hand but Okami moved out of range nicely.
Carter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Okami takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Carter fails to land with a series of punches.

A nice inside leg kick there by Carter. That's going to slow Okami down.

Carter darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Okami smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Carter makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Okami really felt that one!
Carter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Carter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Okami is out of range and Carter settles back down.
Okami fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Carter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Okami avoids the body shot from Carter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

enabling Okami to counter with a crisp jab.
Okami walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Carter drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Okami swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Carter's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
