Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carver Cade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hendricks is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lets get sweattttty betty!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Carver Cade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johnny Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cade shoots in looking for a takedown. Hendricks tries to sprawl out of it but Cade keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hendricks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cade closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hendricks's guard.
Cade throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cade trying to control but Hendricks is working from the bottom.

Hendricks has his foot on Cade's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cade works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee warns Hendricks that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cade cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like Johnny Hendricks has been cut.
Hendricks is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cade lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cade is landing with some decent strikes but Hendricks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Cade lands a big shot there that rocks Hendricks but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Hendricks is looking to improve his position but Cade isn't that keen on the idea.

Hendricks is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cade's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cade's back!

Cade is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hendricks gets his way!

Hendricks gets caught flat footed, as Cade shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cade working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Cade stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hendricks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hendricks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cade got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hendricks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cade has managed to get both his arms back between Hendricks's legs - danger averted.

Hendricks keeping moving, preventing Cade from controlling successfully.

Hendricks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sloppy strikes from Cade. Those never looked like landing.
Cade lands with an uppercut that bounces Hendricks off the cage and back into range.
Cade closes the distance and clinches up with Hendricks, looking for a takedown. Cade pushes Hendricks against the cage but Hendricks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cade displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hendricks.
Cade cracks Hendricks with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cade tries to work over Hendricks's front leg with a kick but Hendricks checks it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Cade or perhaps it was just good defense by Hendricks, which made it look bad.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hendricks connects with a nice short shot to Cade's temple.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Carver Cade is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Cade is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hendricks.
Hendricks connects with a body shot.
Cade bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Good standup being displayed there by Cade as he connects with a hook.
Johnny Hendricks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Johnny Hendricks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cade darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cade lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hendricks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hendricks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

As Hendricks backs away, Cade returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Cade is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hendricks can do to turn this around?

Cade is looking to take a break and control but Hendricks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cade is taking a breather. Hendricks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
